Togo: the budget of 2020, a difference of 520 milliards with Benin
17 novembre 2019   -   Par Kouamivi Sossou

The 2020 budget exercise has been adopted by the Council of Ministers and will be submitted to the National Assembly in Togo.

As resources and expenses, the budget is estimated at 1466.2 billion CFA francs against 1381.9 in 2019. Even if this budget is not yet adopted by the national representation, it is certain that it will be.

In Benin, however, the state budget 2020 is estimated at 1,986,910. That is a difference of 520.71 billion with its neighbor in the West, Togo. Minister Bio Tchané defended the budget in the National Assembly on friday, november 15, 2019.

Togo’s priority sectors are education, health and employment.

In Togo, apart from basic social services, how much of this 2020 budget will be used to finance the National Development Program (NDP)? The NDP is a development program that covers the 2018-2022 vintage.
